How It’s Made

Zirkova is crafted by the Zlatogor vodka company, located near Cherkassy—about 200 km south of the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv (Kiev).

 

Many say that vodka was invented in what is now Ukraine.  Zlatogor is one of the oldest and finest vodka makers in the country and has been in operation since 1896.   They are not the largest vodka maker in the country, but they surely are one of the best, earning medals the world over.

 

Zirkova is made using high quality grain spirits (rye and wheat) and is technically four times distilled and nine-times filtered (even though the label sales triple-distilled).   Spirits are graded for quality in Ukraine and Zirkova uses “Luxe”, a grade found in only the higher end of the market.
